BODIES OF WATER
MOVEMENT ARTS

a somatic approach to dance +movement || growth + development || performance + art making
Based in the rolling hills of Wisconsin's Driftless region, Bodies of Water Movement Arts' dance approach offers an
artistic relationship with movement, body-awareness and composition.

Inspired by the work of Ann Green Gilbert, the Global Somatics
® Process and Body-Mind Centering®, this program fosters creative ideas, self-confidence and nuanced whole body integrative techniques.
Creative dance  supports all bodies who love to move.

Offering both youth and adult classes and workshops throughout the year!

Guest Artist Stacey Barelos will be joining Mandy in co-teaching a workshop in conscious listening, soundscape making, embodiment, and somatics. Since sound is movement, we will incorporate the body in a way to explore presence and possibility.

Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Stacey Barelos is a sound artist who actively performs, creates and teaches throughout the U.S. and beyond. Her work
Clockworks was recently featured in Rome, Italy with her Ludus Duo partner, Arianna Granieri. In 2023 Dr. Barelos released her third album in 2023, “Toy, Toy, Toy” featuring solo and collaborative works with toy piano.
